Privacy Policy
Sound Provider Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Setlist Organiser desktop application and the Setlist Companion iOS application (together, the “Software”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 License Validation Data
When you activate or validate a license, the following is transmitted to our licensing provider (Lemon Squeezy):
- License key
- A machine identifier (anonymised hardware fingerprint)
- Application version
- Operating system version
This data is used solely to verify your license entitlement and prevent unauthorised use.
In addition, the Software periodically confirms your license with our own licensing server. These requests contain only a one-way hash of your license key and a one-way hash of the machine identifier — never the key itself, your name, your email address, application version, or operating system version. We use these records solely to enforce the per-license activation limit and to issue the signed license token the Software runs on.
1.2 Local Network Data
The Software uses your local network (Wi-Fi / LAN) to communicate between the desktop application and the iOS companion app. During this process:
- Your device's local IP address is used for connection
- Your device's name may be broadcast via Bonjour/mDNS for service discovery
- Session data (setlist names, marker names, transport state, timecode) is transmitted over the local network between paired devices
This data never leaves your local network. It is not transmitted to us or any third party.
1.3 Crash and Diagnostic Data
If you choose to export diagnostics (via Help > Export Diagnostics), a ZIP file is created locally on your device. This file contains application logs and environment information. It is only shared with us if you manually send it to our support email.
We do not collect crash data automatically.
1.4 Update Checks
If automatic update checks are enabled, the Software may periodically contact our server to check for new versions. This request includes:
- Application version
- Operating system version
No personally identifiable information is included in update check requests.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect analytics or usage telemetry
- We do not track your location
- We do not access the content of your setlists, sessions, or projects
- We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
3. Data Storage and Security
- License validation data is processed by our licensing provider, Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com/privacy), and is subject to their privacy policy
- All session and setlist data is stored locally on your device
- Local network communication between paired devices is unencrypted but confined to your local network. We recommend using a trusted, password-protected network

5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

Since we store minimal data (only license validation records held by our licensing provider), most user data can be removed by deactivating your license.
6. Children's Privacy
The Software is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at:
- encorly.com/privacy
- Within the Software (Help > Privacy Policy)
We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
